  • Sara Katherine (she/her)

    Sara Katherine (she/her) Board Chair

Sara Katherine grew up in a small rural town in southern Indiana before spending nearly twenty years living in New York City, experiences that shaped her understanding of how place and access influence belonging and opportunity. In 2024, she returned to the Midwest and became a Prism facilitator, where she saw firsthand the meaningful impact of Outreach’s work in creating affirming spaces and resources for LGBTQIA+ communities. Now serving as Chair Board Member, Sara is grateful for the foundation built by those before her and is focused on supporting and strengthening Outreach’s ongoing advocacy, education, and community-building efforts.

  • Ari Francis (she/her) Secretary

She has a history of supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ youth both through previous work experience and community involvement. Her goal is to provide resources and spaces for queer joy to be embraced and celebrated.

She has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and currently works as a Registered Behavior Technician in Valparaiso.

Megan was a construction consultant and manager for over 53 years and has traveled across the world overseeing projects to help eliminate weapons of mass destruction. She started her transition some thirty years ago and has seen the growth and changes within the LGBTQ+ community and knows that much still needs to be accomplished.

As a board member she strives to help the community and board to promote and provide a safe place for LGBTQ+ youth and adults through empowerment, advocacy, opportunities, and support.
